Questions we often hear

Does dry needling hurt?

Most people feel a brief prick and sometimes a twitch or ache in the muscle. Mild soreness for a day or so afterwards is common.

Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?

No. Both use fine needles, but dry needling is based on an assessment of your muscles and trigger points, and is used as part of a physiotherapy plan alongside exercise.

Is dry needling suitable for everyone?

Not always. We check your health history first. It may not suit you if, for example, you have a bleeding disorder, take blood thinners or are very anxious about needles, and we will suggest other options.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can book directly with us. If you already have scans or reports, bring them to your first visit.

How do I book?
